The CAFA 2026 honorees represent an extraordinary cross-section of global influence and Canadian impact across fashion, media, business, and culture.

The Vanguard Award will be presented to Canadian–New Zealander fashion journalist, broadcaster, and author Tim Blanks. An editor-at-large for The Business of Fashion, Blanks has shaped global fashion discourse for decades.

Andrew Lutfy will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award, recognizing his exceptional leadership and transformative impact across fashion, real estate, and hospitality. He is also the founder of Carbonleo, the company behind landmark developments such as the transformative Four Seasons Hotel Montréal/Ogilvy development and ROYALMOUNT, which redefines elevated human connectivity.

The International Canadian Designer of the Year Award will be presented to Sophie Theallet, a world-renowned designer who has made Canada her home. Known for her refined craftsmanship and lifelong commitment to ethical, inclusive fashion, Theallet’s career spans Paris, New York, and now Montréal.

The Changemaker Award will be presented to Coco Rocha, an internationally recognized supermodel, entrepreneur, and educator who has helped reshape the modeling industry. Widely known as the “Queen of Pose” for her technical ability, Rocha has spent over two decades using her voice to advocate for model rights and stronger industry standards.

The CAFA Awards gala has evolved into an international platform that provides year-round programming and economic development opportunities with the goal of raising awareness and recognition for Canadian talent within the global fashion industry.
