This year, Harry Nuriev and Baccarat seal their collaboration with the designer transforming the Zénith chandelier into an unexpected work of art and unveils a limited series of pieces revisiting the Harcourt icon and the Sirius crystal ball.
“In this new work, the Zenith Baccarat chandelier becomes a messenger, carrying pieces of our present into an imagined future, where repurposing becomes a way of life sustained by whatever we once overlooked. While reshaping the chandelier, I reflected on the joy and magical light it once brought to a family’s table, while also envisioning another reality: a future where crystal is no longer available,” said Harry Nuriev.
Around 1850, Baccarat introduced the Zénith chandelier, an avant-garde, sculptural piece that would become an icon of the Maison. Nearly two centuries later, Harry Nuriev revisits this emblem with an unexpected interpretation. Zénith becomes a work of art combining the codes of crystal and everyday life. Adorned with elements borrowed from the chandelier universe, the metallic structure extends the piece, becoming an integral component. Pens, jewelry, bottle caps, keychains, CDs and other familiar objects blend into the composition, fragments of the ordinary in dialogue with the twisted arms, fleurs de lys, arrowed prisms, small bells and octagon chains of Zénith.

Harry Nuriev revisits the Harcourt glass and carafe, and the Sirius crystal ball, using the same graphic language he did for the Maison Baccarat entryway installation. Harcourt, the Baccarat icon, and Sirius, a symbol of the purity of crystal, become new means of artistic expression through his eyes. In the gilding ateliers of the Manufacture, artisans bring his vision to life, engraving and enameling, in black or in color, words such as salute, enjoy the moment, celebration, charm, alongside patterns and depictions of gestures symbolic of the Baccarat universe.

Between heritage and reinvention, Harry Nuriev celebrates the Maison’s creative freedom and pays tribute to the savoir-faire of its collective, making emotion visible, and precious.
