Artisit and Photographer Wayne Hanson cast local people on the street around Harlesden and shot in the same area for the Vivienne Westwood Fall 2021 ad campaign.
“I’m a documentary photographer and I’m interested in people. I really enjoy getting to know them, hearing their stories and no surprise, taking their portrait. The creative team at VW put their trust in me to shoot my way,” said Hanson.
The artists vision was well received my the creatve team at Vivienne Westwwod as the campaign was convincing and the models look like they don’t care, like the clothes are theirs, part of them.
“It was very simple how these pictures came together. My best friend Alex, who also works with us, came across Wayne’s work on Instagram and showed me his pictures and I thought they were outstanding. He shoots on this very classic Camera – an old format hasselblad. It’s something you don’t see very much anymore – the quality of the images mirror that. They have another dimension,” said Andreas Kronthaler, Creative Director of Hanson’s work on thr project.
