British photographer Mark Borthwick has captured the Burberry Pre-Fall 2019 ad campaign of photosets starring Fran Summers, Mariacarla Boscono and more. The models pose against a plain backdrop, which in turn brings out the key colours of the collection: red, black, orange and, of course, beige.
Creative director Riccardo Tisci spotlights the new logo with a selection of graphic prints, tailored outerwear and feminine separates.
The collection focuses heavily on outerwear and eveningwear, with pieces like trench coats, quilted puffer capes and down jackets in the mix.
Tisci said of his collection in a press release, “I wanted this collection to be a continuation of the story I began to tell in September with my debut Burberry collection. I’m focusing on establishing our codes through archive prints, house colors and iconic outerwear, while cementing the new themes I set out in my first season, including the Thomas Burberry Monogram, evening wear and tailoring.”
Each piece featured in the Burberry Pre-Fall 2019 ad campaign modernizes the traditional Burberry aesthetic, while pieces such as the orange oversized-print silk puffer scarf, the khaki nylon take on the classic trench coat and a Thomas Burberry Monogram-printed jacket spotlight the label’s more contemporary offerings.
