Harrods does opulent luxury like no other store, especially when it comes to beauty. However, the London shopping destination is going even further this September, with the grand unveiling of its Salon de Parfums.
Located on the sixth floor under a glass-domed ceiling will be a brand-new 5,090 square-foot retail space that will open on the store’s sixth floor, the Salon de Parfums. space containing 11 individual boutiques: Chanel, Creed, Christian Dior, Guerlain, Roja Dove and Tom Ford are among the brands that will have bespoke rooms and will offer personalised services. Scents aside, some of Harrods’ most exquisite jewels will also be on show and available to buy, and there will be a lounge featuring a spectacular chandelier.
The Salon de Parfums will have a separate fragrant gallery which will include fragrances by Tomas Kosmal and a special Bond No.9 Harrods Collection. The perfume salon will be designed in pale grey and natural beige shades, and the special stores of the eleven brands will be connected by halls with the main corridor, says WWD.
Mia Collins, head of beauty at Harrods, called the launch “a landmark addition” to the store’s perfumery portfolio and said the store would create an immersive fragrance experience.
“As fine fragrances become ever more desired for their sophistication and power to captivate the senses, we were inspired to develop a unique perfumery concept,” she said.
