The Spring 2015 Derek Lam 10 Crosby collection is inspired by collage artists Fred Free and Sigrid Sandström, who mix such materials as cardboard, manila envelopes and newsprint. The collection is a balancing act between simplicity and maximalism, structure and ease, masculine and feminine, technical and natural, and the list goes on.

Vice President of designElizabeth Giardina showed skirts and tops cut at interesting angles, some with inserted pleating. A white knit tank top and a black dress version paired with an olive green military jacket were beautiful examples. Military references were seen throughout  but the best of the bunch was a short olive green dress with buckles and belting details.

On a softer note, tunic knits were subtly adorned with gold hardware bars, while midiskirts and blouses featured an embroidered swirly motif.
