Yves Saint Laurent Beauty has recently developed the first exclusive liquid-to-pigment foundation: Le Teint Encre de Peau, a ground-breaking response to modern beauty demand. With a cutting-edge, high-efficiency formula, it combines three skin-perfect segments, vehicle, color and actives inspired by the most precious inks.

The collection is inspired by the structure of the ink that works in complete symbiosis with the skin. Le Teint Encre de Peau contains a combination of sensorial and volatile oils which prompt the transformation form liquid to pigments in a matter of seconds, upon contact with the skin. The featherweight texture allows for a buildable coverage without a mask-like effect. It delivers an SPF 18 with long-lasting superlative comfort.

Le Teint Encre de Peau is delivered in an assortment of 16 shades developed by Lloyd Simmonds, Creative Director of Make-up at Yves Saint Laurent Beauté. The luminescent shades range from beiges to golden and rosey beiges, from the lightest to the darkest tones.

“Because it’s such a natural, mattifying formula with a large range of shades, it works well on most skin types. The liquid texture is ultra-thin and very easy to apply with your finger or a large brush,” says Simmonds.

Designed with a breakthrough plume dispenser, the liquid foundation is housed in a calligraphy-inspired falcon with a pioneering black dispenser. The plume is fanned at the base and tapered at the tip which provides an anti-drip guard to avoid the risk of waste.

Le Teint Encre de Peau collection is $64 and is available as of September 2014 at exclusive retail stores.
