Debuting the Gucci Epilogue Resort 2021 campaign video filmed by directors Damiano D’Innocenzo and Fabio D’Innocenzo inside Rome’s Palazzo Sacchetti and in the graffiti-covered Campo Boario area.

Epilogue is the final act of the fairy tale which recounts the story of leaving behind fashion’s old rules, the third part in a series that began with Gucci The Ritual show where he celebrated the ritual of the fashion show, continued with The Ritual campaign where the models created their own images, and concludes with this new Resort 2021 collection, worn by those who designed it.

Lensed by Minneapolis-based photographer Alec Soth, the square-cut photos nod to the behind-the-scenes of a fashion shoot, monitors and masked production crew in view.

Alessandro wanted it to be all about juxtapositions: real people wearing high fashion, electric wires against organic vegetables, decadent interiors versus the great outdoors.  “What happens to the relation between reality and fiction when prying eyes sneak into the mechanisms of the production of an image?” he asked. “What happens to fashion, when the true goes back to being just a moment of the false?”
