For Nicolas Ghesquière’s Pre-Fall 2019 Collection, Women’s Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière chose seventeen celebrities and friends of Louis Vuitton to present the sophisticated yet spontaneous looks: Thandie Newton, Michelle Williams, Doona Bae, Samara Weaving, Sophie Turner, Indya Moore, Chloë Grace Moretz, Laura Harrier, Riley Keough, Kelela, Urassaya Sperbund, Zhong Chuxi, Ruth Negga, Kelsey Asbille, Alicia Vikander, Léa Seydoux, and Jennifer Connelly. In his own words: “These women embrace the various personalities that Embody Fashion at Louis Vuitton. Be they stars or new faces, all of them share the same willpower and confidence in their choices, and at the same time, they reflect the eclecticism of the female identity.”

The Pre-Fall 2019 Collection brings together two contrasting sensibilities: city and country meet in a wardrobe that alternates between weekday urban attitude and rural weekend mood. Bucolic prints and tartan checks are treated with strictly tailored lines, while floral blouses, streamlined pants, pleated skirts, and oversized jumpers create a happy clash of genres that defines the season’s eclectically bold look.
