Following his first breakthrough hard case luggage collection for the fashion house, Marc Newson has once again pushed the boundaries of travel design with his new Louis Vuitton Horizon Soft rolling luggage.

With the goal of maximizing interior volume while minimizing weight, two essential elements when traveling, the design uses an innovative outer-shell made of thermo-formed 3D knit. The result is an incredibly lightweight and eye-catching double-sided jacquard featuring Newson’s interpretation of Louis Vuitton’s Monogram. Through an innovative process tailored to Louis Vuitton’s specifications, a custom technical yarn is seamlessly knit into a single piece that is given a water repellant treatment and then heat-formed to shape.
