Photographed in Norfolk, United Kingdom by photographer Karim Sadli, the COS Fall 2016 ad campaign focuses on the concept of ‘New Nature’; by taking inspiration from nature and the ecosystems for cultural and technological innovation. Envisioned through the bond between human beings and the living systems that surround us is expressed in bold new ways. Jonathan Kaye has taken this inspiration to create the looks for the campaign modelled by Vanessa Axente and Mathias Lauridsen.
The direction behind the COS Fall 2016 collection is rethought functionality combined with everyday decadence. Inspired by the intense colours found in the backdrop of Lynette Yiadom Boakye’s paintings, the palette for this season is composed of dark navy, intense blue, ochre, burgundy and forest green.
For women, classic forms have been reinvented and reworked to create an irregular and surprising tone. For men, emphasis is placed on the juxtaposition between a decadent yet modular layered look. Classic tailoring has been updated to form a soft and cocooning wrap silhouettes made from textured wool.
