The Tod’s ‘So Far So Goude’ exhibition by artist Jean-Paul Goude features the unmistakable ‘auter d’images’ whose works are the emblems of our time.
Jean-Paul Goude is expressing himself from more than 40 years through drawings, posters, photography, films, videos or events, epochal books and exhibitions, always impressing our imagination. From the “minets” (adolescent playboys) of the ’60s to the legendary Esquire Magazine in the following decade, from the New York of Warhol and cultural hybrids to Grace Jones, from the spectacular French Revolution bicentenary parade in Paris in 1989 to the celebration of “style beur”, from international brands advertising to works with iconic figures in the fashion world and show business, Goude has always managed to capture the mood, or spirit, of the time in a definitive form.
“In photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary,” says Goude.
The Tod’s ‘So Far So Goude’ exhibit will run at Milan’s PAC, located at Via Palestro, 14, from April 16th to June 19th.
