Contemporary fashion label Self-Portrait has partnered with Australian favourite Le Specs for its first accessories venture – a collaboration for Le Specs’ Luxe collection.
Le Specs continues to push the boundaries of its eyewear with the unexpected; creating highly anticipated collections. Its partnership with Self-Portrait is no exception. Celebrated for its enviable mix of femininity with a modern edge, Self-Portrait joins the ranks of Le Specs’ former collaborations; Craig and Karl, Adam Selman and Henry Holland.
The Self-Portrait x Le Specs collection is an edit of five covetable editions in delicate hues that fuse contemporary art with day-to-day classicism. The frames reflect the concept of layering shapes with clean lines and minimal detailing in petal soft tones of blush, and highlights of navy and rose. Translucent textures paired with mirrored lenses showcase the contemporary edge of the collaboration, encapsulating that enviable balance of understated luxury.
Han Chong, Self-Portrait designer says “It only made sense for us to work together on a project like this. The combination of Le Specs’ sporty eyewear shapes and our feminine styles create a perfect balance. This collection is a reinvention of classic shapes. Playing with neutral tones for colour blocking and layering, each edition creates a bold and striking eyewear moment with hints of modernity.”
Hamish Tame, Creative Director, Le Specs says “The Luxe range within the Le Specs collection intentionally takes a more refined, sophisticated approach to Le Specs bold and playful styles without compromising on quality or detail. We recognised a natural synergy with Self-Portrait’s approach to its contemporary designs, and felt it was the perfect match for Le Specs Luxe’s debut collaboration.”
