Skull Cashmere, the California-based premium knitwear company known for it’s fashion-forward cashmere collection, announced the launch of its’ collaboration with designer Christian Benner for the Holiday 2015 season.

The Skull Cashmere x Christian Benner fifteen-piece collection was hand-distressed and designed by the artist at his NYC-based studio and all pieces are one of a kind. The collection, which lends a punk-­‐ rock aesthetic to the Skull Cashmere collection, will be sold exclusively at specialty stores and at the company’s New York Showroom through December.

“Cashmere is such a beautiful fabric, a coveted fabric,” says designer Christian Benner. “You think exclusive, high end, and I wanted to treat it that way. And I find beauty in the decrepit, the mangled and the torn apart. I wanted to take the cashmere pieces and give them that feel. I think the whole concept of Skull Cashmere is absolutely brilliant. A sweater with a skull on it is a gorgeous look.”

Benner created the custom collection by hand, using various techniques including painting, distressing, and adding metal hardware for this Skull Cashmere collaboration. The collaboration is comprised of 100% cashmere pieces, as well as select leather and shearling styles. Pricing for the collection ranges from $950 to $5000.

The Skull Cashmere x Christian Benner collection will be available by appointment only at the Skull Cashmere New York Showroom.
