Giorgio Armani has opened a new accessories boutique in Milan’s increasingly upscale Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping arcade, already home to Prada, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, and soon to welcome a new Versace store.
Spread across two levels, the Armani boutique has two windows that look out directly onto the Galleria, and its interior — designed by Armani and his team of architects — is divided into three main areas, each separated by portals finished in black lacquer. Men’s and women’s bags, jewelry, eyewear and perfumes are laid out near the entrance, where the walls are silver and the floor is in green Persian onyx, outfitted with ash wood furniture with a sanded silver finish. A second room leading toward the elevator and staircase has gold walls, while upstairs, footwear and jewelry are shown in a room with glossy blue walls and South African quartzite floors.
