The ADEAM Spring 2025 RTW collection draws inspiration from Ikebana, a revered as a true art form, much like painting or sculpture. The hero look of the collection, aptly named the Ikebana dress, features a dynamic arrangement of peonies, dancing lady orchids, roses, and other flowers that cascades down the front.

Maeda was particularly inspired by the use of “active empty space,” or unexpressed absences, which contrasts with Western arts that often strive to enrich the given space or time to its fullest. This concept is reflected in silhouettes and contrasting textures and opacity to generate nuanced intrigue.

The pieces come in muted, natural colors like leaf, daphne, and clay and are styled monochromatically. Layered ruffles add dimension,
while floral motifs emerge in matelassé and organza fabrics. The collection’s allure lies in its subtlety, inviting the viewer to wonder what lies beyond the visible.

Adeam’s styling philosophy embraces mixing and matching and allowing pieces to evolve and adapt according to the wearer’s needs and desires. The collection is accentuated by certain designs such as the sheer organza pieces that cling to the body as if floral patterns are emerging from the wearer’s skin and shoes designed to look as though mimosas, dahlias, and hydrangeas are sprouting directly from her feet.
