The Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2023 RTW collection brings the designer’s amplified visions to life with a lineup that is daring yet versatile. “What makes fashion modern is taking historic savoir faire and making into something contemporary,” the designer said.

Known for his instantly recognizable silhouettes, Alexandre Vauthier continues this legacy with this collection, focusing on the styles that are defining the brand as radical and inventive. While massive faux fur outerwear in both bright and neutral colors grab the eyes, embellished and coordinating denim and leather ensembles show that the adaption of the decade’s dramatic aesthetic can still be wearable.  Slouchy silver boots with a pointed toe similarly reference the era with an updated touch.

Mini dresses are the most intriguing items of the collection, including neon pink tulle styles as well as designs with exaggerated ruffle hems. A long sleeve option, complete with a polka dot version of the hem and strong padded shoulders, offers a more traditional take on the look, while a similar design features full body cutouts, exposed arms, fluffy layers of ruffles and a bow detailing. Another option composed of sharp silver shapes also stuns, perhaps a play on the decade’s affinity for geometric designs.

The collection also featured a burgeoning line of accessories, from thick diamanté cuffs and clutches to sculptural “crushed” boots in silver leather.
