The Camilla and Marc Spring 2023 RTW collection draws inspiration from Wabi Sabi, an elegant Japanese philosophy and way of life that denotes a more connected way of living.

Marked by unique prints and updated details, Transience cements an organic approach to design, fusing nature’s elements with respect to its existing environments. New and interesting colours and textures are explored through nods to nature, architecture, art, lighting and all that surrounds us, leaving the interpretation entirely to its wearer. A chartreuse velvet is reflective of moss living and growing, and how it manifests itself beautifully in objects; gold knitwear resembles rusted metals; high shine lycra permeates light and shadowing; here ready-to-wear pieces are transforming the hidden beauty beneath the surface of what we see.

Transience explores a romantic dance between the hard and soft; the masculine meets the feminine with a collection that marries delicate silhouettes with strong notions, evoking a push and pull motion between the two energies which is interpreted through a modern lens. Classic outerwear is formed with a relaxed softness, which is directly contrasted with super sharp detailing and structure. New tailoring is explored through updated shapes, details and colours, imbuing a seasonal refresh on classic silhouettes.

Unique hand painted prints that date back over 100 years old were sourced from a vintage print archive in Como, Italy – A delicate and tonal Japanese bird print was used in its rawness on a stretch jersey, and again reinterpreted on a black silk in a subtle exploration, both evoking the freedom of Wabi Sabi.
