Renowned designer Haider Ackermann joins Canada Goose as the first-ever Creative Director, an influencer modern luxury, ushering in a new era for the brand. Haider Ackermann’s debut capsule collection honoring Canada Goose’s storied past with the re-introduction of their heritage label, Snow Goose.
“What drew me to Canada Goose is its authentic reputation and drive to stay committed to its purpose. The impact the brand has had on the world around us is meaningful and inspirational,” said Haider Ackermann, Creative Director.
The campaign’s focus is the outerwear line’s stand-out pieces: the Rider Jacket and the Celestia Jacket. The Rider Jacket is based on the archival Peace Keeper Parka from the mid-90s, combining its oversized proportions with reflective accents, utility pockets and an adjustable waist. The Celestia Jacket is Snow Goose’s updated rendition of the classic shirt jacket, doused in a silver reflective finish that will illuminate when exposed to direct light.
The more tech-forward sensibilities of the range are counterbalanced with exuberant color applications, as well as an edgier side of the collection that utilizes a black-and-white diamond quilt pattern. The Squall Jacket and Squall Pant take cues from an archive shell set boasting prominent zippers throughout each segment, but the most notable aspect of the matching set is the eye-catching “Aquarius” blue hue. The Mirage Jacket is another high-saturation piece, featuring a deep green Arctic Tech fabric and a neon green stowaway hood. Elsewhere, the diamond quilt pattern mentioned earlier adds visual interest to outerwear and a range of knitted sweaters, which round out the collection with a cozier vibe.
