The Bottega Veneta Fall 2024 ad campaign carries moods of introspection, resilience, and rebirth. The collection takes inspiration from dry, barren landscapes, where life survives, and thrives.
Alec Soth, who is known for his photographic journeys through the United States, emphasizes the scale and extremity of this landscape, with models framed against towering rocks, empty roads, distant mountain horizons, sculptural branches, and resilient desert vegetation.
Shot by Rahim Fortune, with music by Le Motel, the campaign film opens with a sweeping landscape. Like Soth’s imagery, it captures the models moving through the empty desert landscape, at times with a leisurely and exploratory pace, at others with a sense of urgency and purpose. Shots of models and product are interspersed with close-ups of fragile plants, trembling in the breeze. A suspenseful soundscape, with notes of crackling fire and ambient wind, adds to a mood of anticipation.
