The Proenza Schouler x Vans is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic ‘70s Slip-On, featuring exaggerated proportions in fine leather. Influenced by the worlds of art and design, Proenza Schouler blends with Vans’ profound heritage in skateboarding to create an interpretation of the Classic Slip-On.
“We are honored to be collaborating with Vans to reinterpret their iconic Slip-On silhouette using Proenza Schouler brand codes,” says Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Creative Directors and Co-Founders of Proenza Schouler. “A shared appreciation for strong design and fine craftsmanship informed the project from beginning to end. We couldn’t be more excited to finally share this project with all of you today.
The Vans x Proenza Schouler Puffy Slip-On–a reinvention of the iconic ‘70s silhouette–experiments with exaggerated proportions and fine leather materials exhibiting wearable luxury and modern craftsmanship. Softly textured throughout the upper, the Slip-On is detailed with a leather logo tab, sleek glossed sidewalls, and an oversized heel scab.
