For the first time ever, the Maison is updating Gaultier’s codes and stylistic identity to achieve a contemporary feel. Denim is one of the main focuses of the Très Gaultier representing a genderless wardrobe that’s reinterpreted in outerwear style. Denim is a reference to the Sailor uniform reworking minimalist tailoring pieces to embody Gaultier’s essentials.

The goal of Très Gaultier is to enhance beauty as well as the futuristic and traditional Gaultier silhouette. “With Très Gaultier, I wanted to question our basics and adapt them to the social and aesthetic mutations that have taken place since their creation. Through these completely new silhouettes that form a complete wardrobe, one can fully imagine who the Gaultier person is and what their desires are in terms of fashion and belonging,” said Creative Director Florence Tètier.
