FENDI DEBUT FRAGRANCE COLLECTION
Fendi reveals a more intimate facet with the launch of a new fragrance collection.
May 29, 2024
The Fendi debuts a new fragrance collection of seven exclusive scents, each an invitation to the unique world and secret gardens of the Fendi family expressed through their storied medium – the finest raw materials.
A century after Adele Casagrande and Edoardo Fendi opened their fur and leather goods workshop in Rome, the collection retraces the story of the family and their dedication to creative expression through noble materials, as told by Artistic Directors Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Delfina Delettrez Fendi, each closely involved throughout the creative process.
The collection starts with a perfume, dubbed “Casa Grande,” inspired by the matriarch, Adele Casagrande. It was she and her husband, Edoardo Fendi, who started the brand in 1925 with the opening of their fur and leather goods shop in Rome. The scent captures the essence of their start combining notes of vanilla, tonka bean and leather.
Next is “Dolce Bacio,” inspired by their daughter, Anna Fendi. The third fragrance, “Perché no,” is dedicated to Silvia Venturini Fendi, the creator of the iconic Baguette and Peekaboo bags. Her daughters, Leonetta Luciano Fendi and Delfina Delettrez Fendi inspired “Ciao amore” and “Sempre mio” respectively. The pair of scents are described as warm and sweet, both mixing orange blossom with a deeper note like cedarwood. “La Baguette” is dedicated to Delettrez Fendi’s twin sons, Tazio and Dardo Vascellari Delettrez Fendi.
Breaking with the family theme, but keeping it ever so on-brand, the final fragrance “Prima Terra,” is inspired by Kim Jones, the brand’s creative director. It’s inspired by his childhood memories and pays tribute to Southern and Eastern Africa with notes of rosemary and moss.
The new fragrance collection will launch on June 20th.
