LOEWE ‘CRAFTED WORLD’ EXHIBIT IN SHANGHAI

The exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in iconic designs and cultural collaborations that have informed Loewe.

April 12, 2024

Curated by Loewe‘s Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, ‘Crafted World’ is an homage to all the craftspeople around the world who have dedicated their lives to the handmade.

The exhibition charts the 178-year history of the house, deeply committed to innovation in craft since its 19th century origins, becoming an official supplier to the Spanish Royal Family. Above all, the event is a celebration of craft and artistic techniques passed down through the ages and long supported by the Loewe Foundation and its annual Loewe Foundation Craft Prize, as well as multiple collaborations with artisans around the world.

Designed in collaboration with architecture studio OMA, known for its striking fashion and scenography work, Crafted World unfolds over 1,600 square meters in a suite of nine spectacular and interactive rooms. History meets innovation, showcasing Loewe’s progressive approach to fashion and the culture of craft. Visitors are taken behind the scenes in The Atelier to discover the many steps needed to bring the designs of Loewe creations to life. The exhibition offers an immersive multisensory experience that bridges Loewe’s heritage and future.
