The forte_forte x Lessico Familiare “Poem for a Guy” collection, we are transported by the eternal impression of a Shakespearean sonnet with unique unisex pieces that are neither masculine nor feminine.
“I immediately felt a powerful emotional connection,” said Giada Forte. “Especially in our shared intense love for the beauty of recovery and respect for the poetics of the past.”
Each garment, taken from the forte_forte archive, is conceived and transformed entirely by hand, deconstructed and reassembled with precise, sartorial attention to every detail, reinterpreted in an oniric and ironic way.
Elements of forte_forte’s poetics meet those of Lessico Familiare, resonating through the lyrics of this new poet. Clearing out and remixing the archetypes in a wardrobe of men’s clothing, bohemian shirts grow threefold, shiny pajamas become wider, and striped blazers are turned inside out. puffy sleeves echoing Shakespearean costumes accompany sparkly glitter ribbons, a new cravat for this novel masculine uniform, while trench coats and duffle coats lose their militaristic soul to indulge in froufrou accents and shimmering bling bling.
A soft palette accompanies the collection: prevalent are tones in butter and canary yellow and powder pink and peach.Sshades of white – ivory, optical and off-white are punctuated only by black spots accompanied by flowers, ultra bold flaming red stripes and rhinestones here and there. In“ this collection, the enduring, almost clichéd pillars of the male wardrobe are glorified and investigated contemporaneously.
The “Poem for a Guy” is available in rue de Grenelle forte_forte boutique and will become itinerant in Milan and Madrid.
