The Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2023 collection gets back to Stella’s roots, reinforcing iconic styles and bringing them into the now with contemporary details, cuts and pioneering materials. With 94% of ready-to-wear styles made from conscious materials, it is the designer’s most nature-positive collection to date.
Nature is a forever inspiration, emphasising a love for trees this season – embodied in forest-friendly viscose, a versatile fabric Stella has developed into a modern library of exclusive weaves and finishes, from tailoring to satin.
This season’s python print is across organic silk chiffon skirt and tied shirts and dresses, as well as asymmetric forest-friendly viscose jersey ballet dresses and airy taffeta trench coats. A soft new Alter Mat vegan animal leather alternative is tailored into blazers and biker jackets, alongside cropped furry jumpers and miniskirts.
A second story this season is inspired by young Stella women deconstructing their grandmothers’ classic wardrobes, styling vintage pieces in modern ways like pink and beige mouliné tweed wool tailoring.
A wardrobe of Stella Iconics reinterprets archival styles with elevated finishes and S-Wave details, subtly integrating the new brand mark. High-twist serge tailoring is seen in black, orchid and cornflower blue double-breasted jackets and straight-leg trousers, cut in a trans-seasonal light wool.
