The new JW Anderson collection inspired by the spine-tingling American supernatural horror film Carrie, a cult cinema classic. An adaption of a Stephen King novel, the film was released in 1976 and directed by Brian De Palma. Creative director Jonathan Anderson was inspired by the lead protagonist of the film, teenager Carrie White – played by Sissy Spacek – who takes revenge on her bullies using psychic powers while at her high-school prom.

Throughout the collection, Anderson taps into different parts of the Carrie universe. One shirt and trouser ensemble depict arguably one of the most famous scenes from the film – when Carrie, played by Sissy Spacek, wins prom queen before channelling her telekinetic powers to plot her revenge on her high school bullies.
