The Temperley London Spring 2023 RTW collection embraces the melting pot of new trailblazers mixed with and older generations and bygone eras.

A century on from ‘the new woman’ of the 1920s we look back to trailblazing female photographers such as Lee Miller, Ilse Bing, Madame D’ora who depicted this new confident, empowered persona which set the tone for the new perspective in women’s fashion imagery of the time.

This era of fashionable empowerment also coincided with a rise in cheaper, portable cameras that allowed more women to record themselves and their surroundings, in turn expressing their own visual narrative for the first time.
