“It is much more difficult to judge oneself than to judge others.” This quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “Le Petit Prince” – displayed during the Balmain Fall 2022 RTW show – resonates particularly well with Olivier Rousteing’s most recent offering and its inspirations.

Following unpleasant experiences online through a personal journey to recovery, the Creative Director wished to highlight the freeing power of hope and transparency with designs that evoke both fragility and safety. Colored by recent events, these inspirations become evermore important, launching a collective cry for Balmain Army members to unite in solidarity against hate, lies, and aggression.
