For The Attico Resort 2022 collection, all it takes her to express herself is a cowboy hat: the quintessential one, with a curled brim. She wears it however she prefers as she zooms in and out of situations that have something cinematic about them, like she was rehearsing for a role, or just getting in part for real life: over the futuristic minidress; with the bomber paired with a hoodie and a miniskirt.
The same hat lands on the long dress with a high slit and garthers or on the feathered coat. There is something about this peculiar shape of headgear that speaks of freedom, independence, single-mindedness. It is a lot more than a hat: it is an activator of narratives.
We built looks around the cowboy hat: by way of continuity, but most of all by way of contrast. The hat matches a fluttering of feathers or a pair of dungarees and a tank top; it tops effortlessly the white shirt worn with skinny mock-croc trousers and the faded denim overshirt. A sense of verticality and elongation runs through the collection, counterbalanced by the loose, workwear-inspired shapes that by now are an essential part of the dual personality of our brand.
Lines are sharp and crisp, colors are bold. Tailoring has a futuristic precision in the strong-shouldered blazers closed by logo hooks, in the neat wrap-around dresses. Degradè effects and feathers flutter and dance, while cargo trousers and oversized field jackets have a seductive slouch. Sweatshirts, twisted and knotted tops, shirts, high-waisted leggings and miniskirts are combined in idiosyncratic juxtapositions. The tall and narrow line is enhanced by materials that are either opaque, or glistening with a futuristic shine: lightweight wool twill, sculptural crêpe, compact viscose jersey, nappa leather, crocodile effect vinyl, black denim, stone washed denim.
The color palette features bright shades of cobalt blue, orange, red and purple, with touches of lime green, and essential black and white.
