CHANEL BOUTIQUE IN MIAMI

CHANEL BOUTIQUE IN MIAMI

Chanel inaugurated an incredible two-floor 7,600 square foot boutique in the heart of Miami’s Design District.

December 24, 2021

Located at 155 NE 41st Street, the new Chanel boutique in Miami designed by visionary New York architect Peter Marino, houses ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, eyewear, fine jewelry and watches.

The boutique is modern and edgier, as Miami owns a more youthful arty clientele. Peter Marino built a complete new building for this exceptional Chanel boutique. With more than 200 Chanel stores on his creation list, Peter Marino celebrates Miami, the American art Capital with this new boutique. It is a massive two story cube with white stucco facade and large clear cubic windows with a large volume inside inviting guests to an art gallery store. It is a piece of art in itself.

At the entrance, the clients are drawn inside by a beveled black steel frame. Lots of lights and a spectacular contrast of white and black colors. When some other boutiques have more colors, here the entire decor is black and white, in tribute to Coco Chanel.

An exhilarating 30 foot tall central atrium topped by a 120 square foot skylight creates a vivid space full of light. The exclusive artworks chosen by the architect -as always- reflect Gabrielle Chanel ‘s legacy as a patron of arts. Verra Lutter’s monumental camera obscure photograph “LACMA with Yang- Na 2011-Present, 1. March 8, 2017 lines one wall of the atrium, all body graphic lines and ethereal palm trees. Probably a “clin d’oeil” to the next Chanel Boutique in Beverly Hills expected to open next year.
