Starting with the universal school experience – from biology lessons to art class – the unisex Acne Studios Spring 2022 Face garments feature recognizable graphics from Edvard Munch’s Madonna to scans of mushrooms, all reimagined with an experimental playfulness.

The accompanying campaign, lensed by Harley Weir, is photographed exclusively on real teenagers, aged between 16 and 19. Arty kids, weirdos, scary kids, cool kids, groups, cliques, loners and the kids just too cool for school. Invited to style themselves, they each selected pieces from the Face collection, mixed with their own clothes. Noah, who is among those featured, even customized an Acne Studios Face bag with safety pins and studs for the shoot. The resulting images capture the individuality of each teenager while celebrating freedom of expression and style; a true portrait of adolescent self-expression today.

The Face collection includes coach jackets, canvas workwear jackets and puffy nylon coats, while flannel shirts, poplin shirts and baseball tops mix with jersey sweatshirts, hoodies and t-shirts. Shorts, skirts, sweatpants, canvas trousers and an array of knitwear are also featured. Shoes include high top, lace-up sneakers and slip-on sneakers. Accessories include tote bags, baseball caps, beanies, balaclavas and socks. The seasonal color palette consists of black, cream and dark brown with pops of purple, sky blue, yellow and red.
