One of the Maison’s most sophisticated designs, the Louis Vuitton Fall 2021 Capucines bag is a soulful reflection of the woman whose life it accompanies. As an enduring feminine icon, the Capucines symbolizes the quintessence of Louis Vuitton, its quest for excellence, creativity and craftsmanship.
Named after Louis Vuitton’s very first store in Paris, the Capucines has established itself as one of the Maison’s most sophisticated models and the perfect canvas for seasonal variations.
Behind the apparent simplicity of the Capucines’ design lies a complex creative process and extensive craftsmanship: each bag is made of 250 elements assembled in many hundreds of steps by only the Maison’s most experienced artisans. Heritage details can be found throughout, including such as the rivets on the rings of the bag’s handle that evoke those on historic Louis Vuitton trunks.
The emblematic Monogram motif is referenced in the signature LV initials, and the petal shaped flap with its charm-like metal Monogram flower that is mounted by hand.
