On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the House of Guerlain and Unesco have revealed a partnership with Actress and Activist Angelina Jolie to launch a program to support our engagement in the protection of bees.

As Godmother of the 2021 edition of the program, she will meet with the female beekeepers and follow their progress. This partnership further cements the relationship between Guerlain and Angelina Jolie as one that’s founded on a love for the environment, sustainable development and communities.

A Guerlain x Unesco partnership in collaboration with the French Observatory of Apidology, Women for Bees aims to connect the dots between biodiversity, bees and female empowerment via a global female beekeeping entrepreneurship program. Women for Bees is a state-of-the-art, female beekeeping entrepreneurship program that will empower women through expertise-driven and sustainable professional activities giving them their rightful place as designers of change.

True to our engagement for a sustainable future, this initiative allows us to empower women by caring for bees with the support of Angelina Jolie who has been vocal about women’s right and empowerment.
