“I’ve always admired Virginie, and when I came up with the story for this film, I thought she would be perfect,” explains Gherardo Felloni. “She has a very enigmatic presence, and that is exactly what I wanted to see on the screen.” The idea enticed Virginie Ledoyen. “I immediately wanted to immerse myself in this world,” confesses the actress, “and to have fun with the screenplay, which is both very natural and very stylized.”

This uncommon balance of different styles – this play on codes – reflects Gherardo Felloni’s approach to Roger Vivier. And the accessories that appear in the film are proof of that. The yellow velvet of the handbag shines even more brightly because it is embroidered with rhinestones, while the pink over-the-knee boots, adorned with ostrich feathers, promise sensational glamour.
