For the Rochas Pre-Fall 2020 collection, Alessandro Dell’Acqua explores the idea of a perfect wardrobe where charming British masculine fabrics contrasts with couture volumes, for which the heritage Maison Rochas is well known.

The collection starts with statement pieces as a comfortable masculine costume, boyfriend cardigan and Windsor coat cut with Harris tweed, Glain plaid and chunky wool. Boxy in the front, clothes get structured in the back with couture draped details or deep slits that underline their elegance and sex appeal/charm.

The refinements don’t stop there. The evening part is matter of femininity with an easy allure. The Edwardian dresses and the swelled skirts paired with docker tops dominate. Silk twill, pile velvet and micro-sequins shimmer thank to bright colors and relevant pleated effects.

In shades of fall colors, the palette is sweet and monochromatic. Pink blush, sky blue and pistachio green fuse with brown tobacco, deep black and ruby red. There is space also for a romantic touch with a butterfly print, a symbol of beauty.

Finally, the accessories murmur elegantly the evening style of the French house: the geometric heels pointed boots, the jewel sandals, the full strass sling-backs and the mini silk or shearling clutches remember that Rochas’s woman is a night creature.
