GUCCI FALL 2019 EYEWEAR CAMPAIGN FEATURING NI NI

The campaign features two striking-looking individuals who engage the viewer with their stares to camera.

Shot by cult filmmaker and photographer Harmony Korine, the new Gucci Fall 2019 eyewear campaign expresses Alessandro Michele’s belief in the power of the individual. The simple drama of the human face has a mesmeric ability to evoke all manner of imaginative responses. Here, simple portraits suggest many narratives, though one is surely that of encouraging the viewer to express themselves and their beliefs, values and individuality unapologetically.

Chinese actress Ni Ni reprises her role as brand ambassador taking part in the Gucci eyewear advertising campaign for the sixth consecutive season, and is now joined for the first time by Kai, the South Korean singer, actor and dancer, member of the EXO boy band, as global male ambassador for Gucci eyewear.

Ni Ni wears two round styles. Her sunglasses have an oversize metal frame featuring Gucci’s fork-shaped temples for an authentic ‘70s look. The model is enriched by a coloured, enamel stripe motif inspired by designs in the House’s eyewear archive. Her round, metal optical glasses feature a smooth enamel stripe on the oversize front and on the fork-shaped temples, which are also decorated with an Interlocking G detail on the hinges, and functional acetate end tips.
