The anticipated collaboration Karl Lagerfeld x Olivia Palermo collection has launches with Olivia’s New York take on Karl’s Parisian classics, for contemporary women around the world.

“Being able to collaborate with the visionary and iconic Karl Lagerfeld is truly incredible,” said Olivia Palermo. “I am so proud to bring our shared vision to life on this project and infuse my own eclectic perspective to Karl’s Fall 2019 collection.”

Palermo has curated signature looks through her feminine and polished lens, plus co-designed 24 bespoke pieces. The styles reflect her eclectic viewpoint as a native New Yorker who has traveled the world. It’s in the finer details, like the peplum on a shirt or the tuxedo details of a two-piece suit, that the trans-Atlantic elements of their partnership come to life. But, if you ask Palermo, the idea started with a classic button-down shirt.

Throughout their collaboration, the native New Yorker sought to preserve Parisian classics associated with Lagerfeld’s design aesthetic, while adding her own experiences from her world travels to inform her edit for the collection. Karl Lagerfeld x Olivia Palermo includes leather biker pants and a jacket to match, a houndstooth tailored suit, a maxi dress-bomber jacket hybrid that adds an athletic element to the lineup, a jumpsuit, a matching boucle short and coat set, denim culottes, and much more.

“Our collection focuses on universal wardrobe essentials like a leather biker jacket, white button-down shirts and tuxedo suiting,” said Olivia Palermo. “I wanted to play with KARL’s iconic Parisian classics, and add my own touch that’s eclectic and feminine. I used my travels and experiences in different cultures to inform my edit, to ensure its wearability from Paris to New York and beyond.”
