The Sally Lapointe Resort 2020 collection features a signature monochromatic color palette defines each look, while an emphasis on infusing comfort into luxury creates a wardrobe of intuitive dressing for the modern woman.
The Cruise collection started with a look back into the history of pajamas. For many women in the 1920’s and 1930’s, pajama dressing became a symbol of power and of taking charge. Through looks focused on high-shine with menswear-inspired details and relaxed, yet elevated silhouettes the collection nods to the loungewear of the past while creating luxe pajama power dressing for the modern Sally LaPointe woman.
Head-to-toe looks remain a staple this season and are made even more inviting in relaxed silhouettes and soft, silky fabrics like linen lyocell, double-faced satin, satin jacquard, and chunky silk cashmere knits.
Variations of dimensional high-shine fabrications are seen in looks of head-to-toe stitched sequins, metallic jersey, sheer ribbed lurex, or diamond crochet. Dyed-to-match trims add an extra element of detail across the collection’s monochromatic looks. Ribbed knits are seen in a wide range of soft and relaxed yet elevated bodies this season. From super soft cashmere turtlenecks and a lightweight cashmere hoodie, to a newly developed sheer ribbed lurex seen in a matching top & pant set, the season’s knitwear plays with ribbing in a multitude of flattering silhouettes.
Maxi silhouettes created by long coats, maxi skirts, and relaxed wide-leg pants along with kimono-inspired sleeves and scarf-like wrap elements along some necklines all come together to offer the collection an overall nod to refined loungewear in elevated fabrics like luxurious draped satin, wool boucle, and satin jacquard.
Outerwear is slouchy for Resort in kimono robe-inspired silhouettes with necklines that elongate the body made in wool boucle and a shearling that boasts the softest handfeel.
