The Alberta Ferretti Fall 2019 RTW collection encourages women to dare, to embrace the fascination of the unexpected and express themselves in a fashion not bound by rules or trends.
“Fashion is all about daring to express one’s own unique personality with courage and eccentricity,” said designer Albert Ferretti. “Nobody wants to look invisible.” It’s certainly true that looking invisible in an all-white look is rarely an option.
This collection designs free daywear from predictable solutions and goes back to glamour and flashes of light, expressing the unique personality of a contemporary woman.
“Times are constantly changing, and women’s needs are, too,” said Ferretti. “We have to keep up with today’s fast-paced reality.”
The designer upped the eccentricity factor with au courant mix-and-match styling attitude, while the actual pieces, taken individually, were mainly wardrobe staples designed with Ferretti-esque imaginative flair. There were high-waisted, ’80s-inspired washed denim or intarsia leather pants over frilled, chunky-knitted sweaters; soft tailored masculine pantsuits; metallic leather and suede patchworked trench coats.
For eveningwear, romantic dresses were replaced by ’80s-redolent blouses and wide-leg pants in silver and gold lamé, or black minidresses in plumetis and lace.
