GIVENCHY FLAGSHIP STORE IN LONDON

Situated in the luxury fashion hub of New Bond Street, the new Givenchy flagship store in London occupies two 18th century properties.

The luxury fashion house has opened the inaugural Givenchy flagship store in London at 165 New Bond Street in the upmarket Mayfair area.

Outside, the boutique features original elements of the 18th century property, but inside, a paradise of floor-to-ceiling mirrors, tiles and optical forms provide a backdrop to the label’s Spring Summer 2019 collection.

The brand led by Clare Waight Keller said the boutique illustrates “Givenchy’s multi-faceted concept and sophisticated brand vision”.

Inside, the boutique features pastel wall colours, reminiscent of 18th century bourgeois decor, with ceilings and floors embellished by gypsum and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Pink interiors colour the Essential Room, home to women’s ready-to-wear, shoes and eveningwear, accessed via a striking and vibrant scarlet staircase, whilst it’s satiny light green walls and a wooden ceiling that characterises the menswear department.

The brand said the concept pays homage to the boxes in which Hubert de Givenchy used to deliver his Haute Couture dresses.
