Located at 5-6-1 Ginza Chuo-Ku, the 800 square-meters boutique is the biggest Bottega Veneta store in Asia, showcasing an extensive range of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, handbags, accessories and home collections.
The look of the Tokyo flagship is designed to reflect the character of its home city. The new store is housed within a sleek structure inspired by the Japanese capital’s futuristic spirit and modernist architecture. The façade echoes the iconic intrecciato weave, created with over 900 silvery square metal panels with a “lunar” finish. The weave appears to dissolve to create openings for the windows and front entrance.
The interior takes inspiration from Light and Space artists of the 1960s who explored a conceptual use of light and geometric shapes to create an environment.
Men’s leather goods and shoes is housed on the lower level. The ground floor features women’s leather goods and eyewear. On the second floor is a women’s shoe salon and a dedicated space for women’s precious bags and the Personalization services. The third floor features women’s ready-to-wear and more shoes, while on the fourth floor will be men’s ready-to-wear and precious styles. The fifth floor is reserved for private appointments.
The store is decorated with the Bottega Veneta Furniture collection; the Tassello and Rudi seating families are made in a palette exclusive to the Tokyo flagship which provides an interesting contrast against the pale-hued, minimalist store.
