Tadashi Shoji shoots for the stars in a celestial-inspired Spring collection.

For the Tadashi Shoji Spring 2019 RTW collection, the designer said he used the galaxies for inspiration.
His design palette echoed a swirl of neon green and royal blues adorned the runway in slinky silhouettes, while fuchsias and purples followed in-suit.
Tadashi Shoji created a galaxy print, embroideries with moon and star patterns; the models even wore stellar-themed jewelry from Sequin. The collection featured a slinky draped column of silver Lurex with a star cut-out detail, a fun spin on a classic disco-era silhouette. And it was hard not to swoon over a gold-embroidered gown with one sleeve, or wish one had a place to wear a sequined jumpsuit in ombré shades of deepest reds.
Shoji’s inspiration extended far beyond the exquisite dresses with celestial cut-outs and celestial-inspired jewelry adorning his models. The metallic shoes and reflective makeup, and even the chrome finishes, all played on Shoji’s vision, down to the very last detail.
