OFF-WHITE RESORT 2019 COLLECTION
Off-White introduces a Cruise collection filled with tailored activewear.

For the Off-White Resort 2019 collection, Virgil Abloh declared that preppiness as a trend is dead and showed interest in what fashion looks like when influenced by activewear.
Relevance is now determined by performance fabrics that allow women to feel dressed for brunch. Abloh followed this direction a few seasons ago by creating tube dresses, tailored jackets, and nylon shells recalled pieces that can already be spotted on the streets. The “Black Dress” and bag branded “Sculpture” could be called out as “déjà vu.” Meanwhile, the soles of his heels now feature the brand’s signature stripe.
Past seasons would usually materialize from some esoteric concept, as though the streetwear needed to be legitimized by art or theory; now he no longer has anything to prove. All these signs and silhouettes are about creating an archaeology—essentially an aesthetic that will endure.
The collection featured camo swimwear and highlighter-bright jelly sandals. Women would update their looks with clingy ribbed knitsand flocked striped denim.
