To celebrate the 160th anniversary of Japan-France diplomatic and cultural relationship, Boucheron has collaborated with Kazuaki Seki, for a reinterpretation of ‘Cinderella,’ an original tale written by Charles Perrault. The leading parts are played by French actress Laetitia Casta and Japanese actor Issey Takahashi, and the script is written by Yukiko Motoya, Japanese award winning novelist.
Boucheron, the first jeweler on the place vendôme, launches an original short film celebrating the 160th anniversary of the maison and also the 160th anniversary of the amitié franco-japonaise.
In the form of a reinterpretation of ‘Cinderella,’ it expresses the spirit of freedom – being true to oneself, following one’s instinct, daring to break the rules and expressing one’s personality…which is a strong message of the Maison Boucheron.
Directed by Kazuaki Seki, the most-viewed and talented movie creator, with the script by Yukiko Motoya, Akutagawa award winning novelist and script writer.
The film created by all these top creators of france and japan embodies the free and audacious spirit of this high jewelry maison with 160 years of history.
