Bella Hadid highlights Alexandre Vauthier's fabulous eveningwear for Fall that comes with an unapologetic glamour.
March 16, 2018
The Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2018 collection is all about the ‘80s dominated Paris Fashion Week with the designer’s hero dress silhouette—short and cinched, with statement shoulders and a sleeve—makes the trend easy to embrace. Don’t miss the diamanté-buckled stilettos designed in collaboration with Amina Muaddi.
Not only did Vauthier make sure Hadid stands out on his haute couture runway, he managed to woo her for these ready-to-wear images. In her, he has found the ideal embodiment of youthful, high-octane glamour—the type of muse who can wear a sparkly purple draped minidress as naturally as a T-shirt.
This season’s lineup echoed Vauthier’s couture offering from January using couture’s key color statements—ruby red, violet, and English green—as a springboard for velvet down-filled jackets, crystal-buttoned blazers, denim, animal-stripe sequined numbers, and metallic stiletto boots. These fleshed-out tonal groupings offered a nicely conceptual twist to his usual approach. His crystal-studded jeans were back and with the finely constructed Spencer jacket or big-sleeved blouse in black.
The designer also threw in a few casual items like a satin sweatshirt and velvet tracksuit for those clients
This Fall collection also features the back-to-the-future eyewear collection Vauthier launched in a collaboration with Alain Mikli.
