Millennials were arrayed in the front row for the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2018 runway show called “Queen of Hearts,” that took love as its theme.

“You can find love wherever,” said Gabbana. Many of the more elaborately embellished pieces borrowed the regalia and finery of the face cards found in a 52-card deck, in fruit and vegetable prints and in the revival of the lingerie-exposing hourglass dresses and corseted tailoring with which the designers began making their mark more than 30 years ago.

A series of playing card dresses, jumpsuits and gowns were scattered throughout the show; some came beautifully printed on silk, while others were embossed in sequins. Sunglasses had lenses in the shape of cards, and models debuted a number of new crowns.

The Italian house put on a “secret” show for its favorite Generation X and Y influencers, kicking off what we expected to be an equally Millennial-heavy extravaganza on Sunday.
