For the Tatras Fall 2017 collection, the brand salutes the iconic pieces like down jackets, blazers and down vests while giving them a refined and decisive spirit.
In keeping with the Japanese DNA of the brand, the fit is sober and sophisticated, suitable for the most refined urban dandy. Each garment acquires spirit and character with the combination of fine details like double breasted closure, taped zips and removeable linings. A series of elements that render the TATRAS man look special and distinctive.
High-tech performance fabric, also for use in extreme climatic conditions alternated with models created in pure virgin wool with the metropolitan, elegant allure.
The sporty soul is expressed by waxed and washed, vintage-effect cotton fabrics. Ultralight down jackets are shirt-like in form with ergonomic stretch panels to guarantee comfort and movement. Others are inspired by 1950’s era biker jackets. More formal, double-breasted, finely cut coats have removeable padded linings, while pure virgin wool outerwear have leather zip pulls.
For the second season, there is a fine selection of garments in the elegant Nishijin fabric, woven in the province of Kyoto and used for centuries for the kimonos of emperors. This special brocade in silk and pure silver filaments, woven in a more than 20 step process, is considered a national treasure in Japan.
The original patchwork “Desert Camouflage” collection is completely new. Made by hand in a long and complex process of assembly of each piece, this embroidered masterpiece with clear military inspiration is unisex and has an oversize fit. The patchwork variations are obtained by a mix of colours and materials using true camo tones.
The downjackets and outerwear are made in 90% goose-down clusters, the most noble and highly performing part, and 10% made of goose down able to confer structure to the item of clothing.
