Mademoiselle Privé takes us on a journey through the origins of Chanel's creations.
June 26, 2017
The Chanel Mademoiselle Privé exhibition in Seoul capturing the audacity and energy of the House, and the brilliance of Karl Lagerfeld’s creative vision on the story of Mademoiselle Chanel.
First launched in London 2015, the exhibition is a rare glimpse into the origins and inspirations that help forge Chanel’s unique and iconic collections.
The show is a visual journey through the world of Chanel, including the work of founder Gabrielle Chanel, whose vision helped shape the world of fashion we see today. It will also follow the work Karl Lagerfeld, who has been creative director of the house since 1983. Lagerfeld reinstated haute couture, as well as creating innumerable ready-to-wear collections.
The platform also presents an opportunity to learn about Chanel high jewellery, including the re-edition of the only Bijoux de Diamants collection designed by Madame Chanel, in 1932. Finally, no exhibition about Chanel would be complete without the iconic Chanel N°5 perfume, about which visitors will be able to learn more.
Reimagined for South Korea, this exhibition is described as including “digital dynamism”, in what promises to be an exciting and one-off opportunity.
Watch behind the scenes as the Mademoiselle Privé exhibition opens its doors runs from June 23 to July 19 at D Museum, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
