The Noon By Noor Resort 2018 collection embodies a fusion of masculine and feminine, with masculine shapes taking form in its tailoring, while femininity is expressed through fluidity, ruffles and separates. This season, Designers Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohammed al Khalifa give a fresh twist to an elegantly modern woman’s wardrobe with bold silhouettes such as contoured tube skirts with crisp shirts, mannish trousers with softly cut bell sleeved jackets and gowns with strong shape and detailing, from sharp and simple daywear to dramatic strapless and ruffled gowns.
Bahrain, the designers’ homeland, forms the primary inspiration for the collection, drawing details from local influences. With a palette pf clover, black and white at its core, with rosebud and ladybug red providing a vibrant highlight. Tone on tone embellishments are incorporated within color blocking silhouettes with
oversized, abstract graphic prints.
Extracted from botanical notebooks, the collection encompasses sketches, which are enlarged to abstract scale to form prints and embellishment. The embellishment symbolizes the delicate Bahraini rosebud as an all over texture, which is scattered across the structured tailoring to soften the lines of masculinity. With tonal bees and contrasting ladybugs, the botanical theme continues on cotton and linen fabrics.
